Florida Real Estate Salesperson Requirements

Allied is the Florida real estate school fit for your needs. Complete your 63-hour pre-licensing course with us and you’ll be prepared for the Florida real estate license exam and get ahead! Allied’s course materials are approved by the Florida Real Estate Commission (FREC).

Here is some information to help you attain your FL real estate license:

General requirements

  • AGE: Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER: You must have a United States Social Security number to apply. If you are a non-resident of Florida, fill out the Initial Mutual Recognition Application.
  • EDUCATION: Must hold a high school diploma or its equivalent.
  • PRE-LICENSE EDUCATION: Must complete and pass a Florida Real Estate Commission approved 63-hour Sales Associate pre-license course.
  • EXAMINATIONS: Set up your exam once your application has been approved by the FL Department of Business Professional Regulation (DBPR). Look through the Candidate Information Booklet as a useful source to help guide you through the examination process. This can be found through the DBPR’s official website
  • FEE: The fee is $105 which can be paid either by using our Online Services or by personal check or money order
  • FINGERPRINTS: An applicant must have a background check as part of the licensing process.
  • APPLICATION: Complete an application with the FL DBPR
