The real estate appraisal licensing courses teach you the appraisal process from start to finish and enable you to become an expert on property appraisal. The material is approved by the Appraiser Qualifications Board (AQB), and provides you with a solid background in real estate appraisal practices and USPAP guidelines. Pass the state exam with hands-on practice tests and start your career as a professional in this growing field.
Note: Students will enroll in a real estate appraisal program, which consists of individual courses as described below.
Please Note: The Appraisal Qualifications Board (AQB) has come out with new changes to qualifications effective January 1, 2015. These changes are concentrated on the minimum qualifications appraisers need to obtain a license or upgrade to another license level. The following requirements are effective for individuals seeking a real property appraisal license after January 1, 2015. However, these changes may apply to current licensed appraisers as well under certain circumstances, such as moving to a new state without reciprocity. Your own state agency may choose to implement additional criteria and you are urged to contact your state regulator for more information.
Allied’s 158-Hour Real Estate Appraisal Residential Licensing Package enables you to complete your required 158 hours* of appraisal education from the comfort of your home - with all of the courses you need! This includes 4 hours of trainee/supervisor training and 4 hours of federal and state laws and regulations. Allied’s appraisal courses cover all of the topics included in the pre-licensing requirements established by The Appraiser Qualification Board (AQB) of the Appraisal Foundation.
*Additionally, BREA recently announced new requirements related to Federal and State Laws and Regulations education. Effective 1/1/17, BREA requires that the 4-hour Federal and State Laws and Regulations course include a final examination and be required qualifying education for anyone applying for an AT (Trainee) or AL (Residential) license.
How does Allied’s package set you apart? Allied has the revised Federal and State Laws and Regulations course you need, plus additional trainee/supervisory training all in one package!
There are several Federal and California State laws and regulations that provide the basis for appraisals and appraiser activity in California. Therefore, it is incumbent on all state-licensed or certified real property appraisers to understand and comply with these laws and regulations. This course is designed to comply with the requirement established by California for each state-licensed or certified real property appraiser to take 4 hours of education on federal and state laws and regulations.
Also, the Real Estate Appraisal Trainee/Supervisor course addresses the expectations and responsibilities of both the Supervisory Appraiser as well as the Trainee Appraiser. In order for a Trainee to earn acceptable experience, both the Supervisor and the Trainee must meet their duties and obligations. The main function of the Supervisory Appraiser is to help prepare a Trainee to demonstrate professional competence and work independently upon issuance of full licensure.
