Joining the growing green industry, Allied Schools has launched a new website that promotes the benefits and career potential of "green" careers. With a focus on green awareness, the school has added new online courses that train for employment in today's eco-friendly careers and provide opportunities beyond those of traditional careers.

Allied recently launched Training 4 Green, www.training4green.com, which is designed to support students' needs for green training options and promote the environmental and financial benefits of careers in this growing industry. Training4Green showcases green career training and provides the resources students need to be successful - including a quick and easy log-in to Allied's online courses.

"We recognize the career potential of the Green economy," said George Achenbach, president of Allied Schools. "With an increased focus by the Obama administration, the green industry provides a wealth of opportunity for people with the right training. At Allied, we want to provide a gateway into this exciting industry with courses that are timely and innovative for today's job market."

The first course offering includes Solar I: The Business of Solar, which provides students with the fundamentals of operating a solar energy business - from building a business to developing sales strategies. The course is also available with other Allied courses to provide customized career training programs - including the Green Real Estate Appraisal Package, Green Home Inspection Package, Green Property Management Package and Green Contractor Premium Package. Additional course offerings to be launched include: Introduction to Photovoltaic Systems, Fundamentals of Green Building and more.

Government initiatives are funding growth in the green industry - meaning more jobs that promote environmental benefits. The Obama administration has committed to doubling U.S. renewable energy by 2012, and plans to invest $150 billion over 10 years toward the nation's clean energy economy. These plans are designed to help create five million new jobs during this timeframe - creating a wealth of opportunities in a growing industry.

Solar and green technology has the potential to add value to residential and commercial property - opening the door to career opportunities nationwide. With "green" career training, students can choose to build a consulting business, add value to their existing career and launch an entirely new business opportunity. Their knowledge of natural solar resources, green sales strategies and concepts, and energy efficient technologies will enable them to find a unique niche in today's green industry.

"It is really an exciting time for the green industry," said Achenbach. "People have an opportunity to a create tailor-made career - if they want to be a real estate appraiser, they can get additional "green" training and set their career apart from everyone else. The green movement is only going to increase and it is an ideal time to customize a career that will be in demand for years to come."

Allied Schools provides convenient online courses that allow individuals to attend class from any location and study according to their own schedule. The course materials are available 24/7 - they can log onto their courses when they have time. The online education is also self-paced, allowing them to learn at an accelerated rate or keep a regular pace throughout their studies. Live student support is available if they need assistance with their course.
