China is certainly in the news this week as the host of the Summer Olympics, but gymnasts and basketball stars aren't the only Chinese players making news these days - it's also the executives of China Distance Education Holdings Limited, which is an online career training school providing online courses for professionals pursuing careers in China. Company executive of China Distance Education Holdings were at the New York Stock Exchange in New York City on July 30 to ring the opening bell. The Beijing-based online career training institute recently went public, raising $61.25 million. In the United States distance education is well established and offers students the opportunity to train for careers like dental office assistant, home inspector, property manager, medical transcriptionist and many other professions.
